A friendly drag race between me and my best friend at the local drag strip.
It was a very close race! Though maybe I should appologize for completely burrying his car's sound with my Borlas.
My best time of the night was 13.88@102mph and his was 14.01@96

Wow, not bad!

Nice!
Smooth shifting there, buddy. Remind me, if we ever get drunk, to let you play with my nevermind.
Seriously though, I know what's under your pony but what's the Ralliart rocking?
And on another note of shock and awe, further drawing the parallel and adding to my theory that we're the same person on different sides of the country, one of my very best friends drives an '09 Ralliart.
Spoooooooky.

Thanks!

Haha thanks! I was actually aiming for smooth shifting because 3rd locks me out sometimes on that damn getrag if I try to shift too hard and fast. And the massive wheelspin I get from hard shifting into 2 and 3 slow me down quite a bit so slow and steady it is. All he has under that hood are an AEM cold air intake andan HKS blow-off valve which does nothing asside from the ptshhh sound people love. The magic is the 20k miles he has on the motor. These motors run at their best once they reach that mileage and beyond.
The other magic is he doesn't have to fight the wheelspin from a 4000rpm launch on a rwd car thanks to awd.

Pfft.
His AWD is heavy and he's already down on the power. On a strip, you're pretty much guaranteed the win.
My buddy, he has nothing done on his outside of a K&N air filter (stock box...) because warranty. That'll be up very, very shortly though and he's already got it lined up for an ECU tune, short air intake, and the mandatory-though-pointless BOV. Also, DCT is loosey for me. Third pedal and a stick, please!

Very respectable.

Nice. Not meaning this in a bad way, but for whatever reason your launch seemed faster than a 13.88 in the video. Either way, good stuff!

Blame the long gearing and crappy all season pirellis. I still got some wheelspin all the way through 1st. And I finished the race at the top end of 3rd at 7200rpm. Shifting to 4th slows me down a lot. My buddy was in 5th at the 1/4 mile mark. I need to change that rear gear.
I'm also upgrading to Michelin Pilot Super Sporta next summer so that should help.
